| Keeley is away at college when she has a vision of her grandmother’s murder. She returns home to take her grandmother’s place as a healer. Her grandmother’s death is part of a prophecy and Keeley must take her place in order to banish the demon who is behind not only this murder, but the murders of Keeley’s parents also. Keeley doesn’t have to face this alone because Alex, the guy who rejected her four years ago, is back in town and ready to claim Keeley as his mate. But Alex isn’t just any man, he is the werewolf who is part of the prophecy.
This is a very interesting and unique story. The author gives us lots of background information on the curse and Keeley’s lineage, and as I was reading it I thought maybe she was planning this to be a series. Your emotions certainly will get a workout as Keeley grieves for her loss then accepts her destiny. The love she and Alex share is very deep, with roots back to their elementary years, and the author does a great job conveying their commitment to each other and to their destiny. Alex initiates his claim on Keeley very quickly, and some might think too soon considering the death of her grandmother, but in the end, the author ties it all up very neatly as part of the “curse” and the fulfillment of their destiny.
