| Alana works hard as a horse trainer at a nearby ranch while living with her cousin, Beatrice, and the grandfather who raised her. She is a telepath and because she can read others minds, she hasn’t wanted anything to do with men and “hearing” their sexual thoughts. That changes when she meets Rhys who came to purchase a horse from the ranch where Alana works.
What an excellent story from this author who is new to me. She incorporates a heartwarming tale of true love mixed with fun, suspense, and of course, romance. The action is nonstop from the first page through the last. Be aware there is a scene of violence against a secondary female character. Rhys is a super strong vampire with a high position among vampires, but he shows his tender side with Alana and her family without sacrificing his character. The story also had some comical scenes that I really enjoyed as well as the family bonding times around the dinner table. Something different in this book that I haven’t seen in many romance books is the detail on the meals they prepared. Surely you’ll be hungry when you’re finished with this book. Rich in sensuality and eroticism, Kentucky Hunger is a great choice for your reading pleasure.
