Kicking Bots, Ancient Enemy book three, is the third in a series of books about seven "sisters" who were abducted by aliens twenty years previous and the Mythos guardians who watch over them. This book tells the story of doctor Melissa Campbell and her guardian Bennett Sevastian. Melissa is finally introduced to her six sisters who were all abductees by their Ancient Enemy the Anaz-Voorhi. The seven sisters had been placed back on earth as moles to be activated at the correct time to aid in the alien takeover. Once all seven finally get together, their strength and paranormal abilities expand exponentially.

I really enjoyed this book. Even though I hadn't read the previous two, I was able to fall right into this one. I suspect that reading the previous two would have made this one even more enjoyable, but the author did a good job filling the reader in on enough that I did not feel a void. I have always been interested in the mysterious disappearance of the Anasazi and this story nicely filled in the blanks. Melissa was a very believable character, unfortunately proving the old adage that absolute power corrupts absolutely, as the line between morality and expedience began to blur for her as she became more powerful. The struggle she ultimately went through to find herself in who she was becoming, from a peaceful medical doctor to a powerful savior of the world, was exceptionally well written. Sevastian, on the other hand, had to come to grips with the fact that he did not always have to be the one in total control of any situation. His dilemma was tied up in learning to trust the woman he loved as she continued to evolve into a strong person. I am definitely going to have to find the previous books and check them out as well.
