Denise Robbins pens an excellent suspense that is fast moving and thrilling. Sam is no slouch when it comes to being able to fight. She's a constant surprise, showing that she learned the lessons taught at her father's knee well. Max is often so lost in lust and admiration for her that he forgets his mission to save his brother. But not for long as the bad guys keep things hot with flying lead and bring them out of their lustful thoughts and bedroom play. One or the other always seems to be patching holes left by the bad guys' lucky shots.

As the second in a series this is great reading and I'm going to be sure to read the others. Ms. Robbins keeps us on the edge of our seats with a writing style that makes it hard to put the book down. Great romantic scenarios and humor are mixed with sadness at the things these two excellent star characters have survived. She builds the book to a thrilling conclusion in a way that's sure to make fans of everyone who reads it.
