Melody Young has been running the animal shelter founded by her mother since her death. A greedy developer has been buying up property on the waterfront so he can build a casino, but Melody will not sell. Steven Merritt has no problem playing dirty to get his way. On her way to shelter one morning she rescues a very handsome cat with a broken leg. That cat turns out to be Tybalt Felix. He is a cat shifter and descendant of the original Puss In Boots, but he isn’t wearing any boots, or anything else here. Ty and Melody have to do anything in their power to save the shelter and to explore the attraction between them.

This story is a fast read. The plot moves along at lightning speed and has some very exciting scenes. This author also really knows how to write a sex scene. The very sexy Ty and Melody have a very steamy relationship. I liked how the author worked the Puss in Boots fairy tale into the story with a few unique twists. The story of vanquishing the greedy developer does not take a back seat to the love story however, and it provides some scenes that had me biting my nails.

Sensuality rating: Explicit
