Cassity and her cousin Joan were constantly struggling to keep the bar opened they had inherited from their fathers. The Hideaway, in Coral Gables, Florida had been run by their fathers for twenty years. The daily struggle the ladies faced was harder due to Carrington Enterprises’ owner who wanted the space to build on. He also wanted something else that Cassity had from her father.

When Mark “Carry” found out there would be an auction of the waitresses at The Hideaway he had to attend. One woman was out sick so Cassity had to take her place as the tenth woman. Mark bet $1,000 for one night of her time. He hoped to find out about the business and how he could encourage her to sell out but he didn’t let her know his true identity.

Ms. Phyllis Campbell has written a very interesting, fast-paced book about instant attraction between two would-be enemies. She created two main characters that were self-motivated and determined to be successful. The secondary characters were important to the plot, but the storyline was basically this couple.

The sexual encounters were scorching and very well told. The book should be a success. I recommend that all who are interested in romance and sex read this book.
