'Kiss Me Sweetly', is a paranormal romance involving Lucien Portuer, a vampire. Lucien has been gravely injured in a fight. He was able to make it to an isolated cabin in the woods where his only thoughts are of blood and sex. The two things Lucien needs to survive and heal. He is surprised when the young woman who owns the cabin comes home. To make matters that much worse, it has been snowing and it looks like they are going to be stuck together until the snow begins to melt. What's a vampire to do when everything he needs are just a few feet away? But wait! When everything seems to be too good to be true something usually goes wrong. Read 'Kiss Me Sweetly,' to see what happens to poor Lucien.

'Kiss Me Sweetly,' is an appropriate title when thinking of what Lucien needs, blood and sex. The setting, somewhere in a snowbound isolated cabin, helps to convey the emotional aspects of the story. The desperation Lucien feels when there is no food available and the fear when the woman returns home to find a vampire in her cabin. The passion and longing comes through clearly in Kendra Clark's writing. Character development comes when you start to see both sides of the characters. You will begin to understand the characters and see beyond what was first presented. I was all set not to like Lucien but he kind of grows on you. The dialogue is well written, logically constructed and easily followed. The plot is creative and although it starts out simple, it becomes more complex. As a paranormal romance involving vampires and werewolves, there were very creative and original concepts. The sex was explicit and described in detail. This is a sexy fast paced read that I found truly entertaining. For the above stated reasons I give 'Kiss Me Sweetly' by Kendra Clark five hearts and recommend it to readers who enjoy vampire romances.
