Corrine Weathers was a great mechanic and also part-time driver of the wrecker truck. The only thing she could not do, in her family with six brothers, was cook! Her mother insisted that she needed to learn to cook so she signed up for a class given by Micah DePalma. Not only could she not excel, she couldn’t catch a break! She ruined each class with a different catastrophe. The latest, a flaming fire, was just the icing on the cake. It seemed that every time Micah looked at her, some disaster happened. It certainly did not help her self esteem.

Just as Cori decided she could not face any more embarrassment, her six brothers became acquainted with him. She was worried that their testosterone would override his personality. However, they invited him to play football with them, Cori, and her ex-boyfriend who was so jealous and was determined to reignite his relationship with her. Sparks flew. Story became extra interesting.

This Marianne Arkins manuscript was my first by her but I definitely do not intend for it to be my last. She used humor and an abundance of comedic relief to show the tendencies of her characters. There was a myriad of minor characters who all worked to make the story its best.

I believe that anybody would enjoy this manuscript. It is a quick-read, fast-paced and so romantic and funny that it has something for everyone. I highly recommend it.
