Star Whitefeather is on her way home from checking on a report of neglected children. Thankfully, it was a false alarm, especially on Christmas Eve. A snowstorm was roaring all around her on her drive down the mountain when a strange man in a Roman toga and sandals appeared in front of her on the road. He caused her to crash her SUV into a ditch and almost go over the cliff. As it was, she was stranded with a head injury in the middle of a snowstorm. The only house nearby belongs to the very sexy Deputy Justice Knight, so she heads that way. Justice and his dog Maddie find her unconscious in the snow outside his house and bring her inside. She is freezing, so of course he has to undress her to warm her up, and she acts on a very interesting dream. A merry Christmas is had by all.

Ms. Wilder has produced yet another great story for Ellora's Cave. The characters are very real and likable people who find themselves acting on an attraction that has been around for a while. After all, what else is there to do in the middle of a blizzard with the lights off? Justice has a very unique way of serving breakfast the next day also. The probationary angel Norville is pretty funny also. This is a very entertaining holiday tale.
