| Joe Horn and his close buddy Rafael are defenders of the world of light against the darkness that exists just the other side of the rift, a tear in the fabric of existence ripped open decades ago in the Southeast Asian jungles. Joe lives for his love of Sarah, but he also lives to fight the darkness, and his extra psychic senses are closely attuned at all times to its onset. When she and Joe are separated, she treks into the ravines to locate the Bogeyman for help, and both she and the Bogeyman are in turn hunted by shadows from the other side. In the meantime, Joe is on his own trail of the monster from the Shadows.
I had not read the earlier book in this series but will make a point to do so now. Jonathan Wright wields an intense pen for horror, and interweaves explicit sexuality which is sure to inspire almost any reader. This is an excellent Halloween season tale which will keep readers awake at night, both from fright and from wanting to read more of the sexy heroes and heroine. Caution: there is graphic violence, explicit BDSM intimacy, multiple partners, and f/f sensuality.
