Meg Travis needs Kyle Harrison to listen to her. So she "kidnaps" him to get his attention. Kyle gives her two hours to state her case, and in exchange, Meg agrees to a number of hours in his bed.

After their talk, Kyle is convinced that his shopping mall project will hurt a number of people and determines to try to work something out so that they won't suffer. And Kyle and Meg quickly realize they want something more than their temporary arrangement. But can Meg accept Kyle's dominance?

Kyle's Bargain explored a couple of very serious themes, while remaining fun and lighthearted. Meg's younger sister has Down's Syndrome, so that becomes a complication in Meg and Kyle's relationship because Kyle soon realizes anything permanent with Meg will include her sister. Kyle is shown to be a generous and caring man, a lot of that through his interaction with Meg's sister.

Also, the theme of domestic discipline is explored. I appreciated the way that Kyle and Meg would talk things through, working out what each was and wasn't comfortable with. Ms. Kingston has a real talent for writing erotic, steamy love scenes, which also have an element of fun in them. The addition of Kyle's friends Rick and Lindy to their intimacy was sexy and interesting.

The dialog was well done, and the interaction between Meg and her fellow shopkeepers really added depth to the story. Even though we only met them briefly, I still felt as though I knew the other shop owners. Kyle's parents were the irritating, interfering, potential in-laws that added some serious conflict. All-in-all, a well done book I would recommend.
