Candace is a successful African-American woman with everything - a thriving catering business, good friends, a beautiful home and, of course, a dog. Only one problem though. Her good friends and her suicidal mother keep fixing her up with some of the worst men she has ever met. She insists she is NOT that picky, that she only wants a successful business man. Candy is not looking for love, or even romance, she just wants to get married. Her UPS man Jeff is super-sexy and seems to be genuinely interested in her full-figured body, but she refuses to go out with him because he has a menial job. When Candy's dog jumps into Jeff's UPS truck it brings the two of them together long enough for him to ask her out. She declines, but that does not stop her from thinking of him while she is dating other, more "suitable," men.

Jeff may be a UPS driver, but most days he is in the ER finishing out his rotation. He is attracted to Candace, but he is not about to let her know that he is a doctor from one of Atlanta's most prominent families. He thinks she needs to grow up first, and if she doesn't he is going to have to get over her and move on. Ha! If only it were that easy.

Ms. Usher did a wonderful job incorporating emotional turmoil and laughter. Candace is a nice woman but superficial when it comes to men and their jobs. I really liked the fact that Jeff could have disabused her of her misconception of him but instead decided to see if she would grow up by herself. Candy's friends, their problems, and her mother really start her looking at something other than the bottom line. A good story for anyone. .
