| Miryea is an insecure apprentice physician with a bit of training in how to fight from her warrior grandmother. When their caravan is attacked by slavers she finds she can hold her own as a healer and as a warrior when necessity calls. Adimir is part Thelanese and part Kulchu. The two countries have battled in the past and it seems Adimir and Miryea may carry the battle of wits into the future.
Teresa Noelle Roberts pens a fun tale of young love during the Spring Equinox in a land where love and sex are celebrated. Even the god and goddess of the land are rumored to be into a little domination-submission. They take turns being seen as the primary purveyor of good things for their people or the one who has been slacking at their job. Ms. Roberts does a fine job weaving some wit, wisdom and suspense into the storyline. Most readers will find ourselves agreeing with characters who comment on facts of life that seem true both in a fantasy world and reality. This is a sweet story with a little twist at the end to make it more fun.
