Royce and Kylie's story is romantic and tragic. When Kylie died as a human and was reborn as a vampire she felt she had no choice but to stay away and out of Royce's life. Kylie's disappearance hurt Royce very much and he is determined to find out what happened to her and why. I enjoyed reading about the love and devotion this couple felt towards one another and found myself mad that fate or someone could be so cruel as to force their separation. But when it appears that there is more to the story behind what happened to Kylie than just an accident, I began to hope that Royce and Kylie would be able to figure out what went wrong and find someway to still be together. And if it turns out this was the deliberate act of someone mean and evil, I want the bad guy to get what he deserves – justice served cold!& What follows is a fun and entertaining look at the world of high stakes poker, life in Vegas, and a quest for revenge all intertwined with a paranormal twist. This story is fun and lighthearted in areas and dark and deep in others. There is something to entertain all lovers of paranormal tales. I hope there are more stories planned in the future like this one!
