| Jenna Blake has gone against her family wishes her entire
life. She became a carpenter, she will not use her family’s money, and she
breaks up with her 'too perfect' fiancé. Instead of sitting idly by and
wasting her life so that she can marry the 'right' man, Jenna goes to
Scotland buys a castle. Although she did not know until the papers were
signed, the entire village believes the castle is not only haunted, but also
cursed. Jenna is determined to make a life that is her own, and using her
skills as a carpenter sets out to refurbish her new home. If no running
water or electricity cannot scare her away from her dream a little ghost
story, or even the ghost itself, isn’t going to either.
Laird Logan Mackenzie has spent 600 years imprisoned in his castle by a curse put upon him by a sorcerer. He had to watch his family and friends die. Logan’s only companion during his confinement is now an old man. When Jenna bought the house Logan is prepared to run her off as he had done the previous owners, but something about her calls out to him, something he has never felt in the 600 years of his existence. Not succeeding in his attempts to scare Jenna away changes his 'life.' Can the Curse be lifted? And if it can be, is Jenna the key? Ms. Williams weaves a very rich and lovely story. The characters are multi- faceted with grace, strength, humor and determination. This is a love story that transcends time and curses and will strike a chord in anyone who enjoys paranormal romance. A beautiful and superbly written story! Highly Recommended.
