| Abbey Jordan's life has been full of disappointments and joys. A year ago she had a hysterectomy which destroyed her hopes for having children. Her roses have become her passion. Perhaps her new nursery manager and his daughter can be another dream come true for a readymade family with a man who seems to share her dreams.
Sharon Donovan pens a tale of heartbreaks that could be like a plague in Abbey's life. Still, like a good role model for us all, her character survives on faith. Her angst and anger at life is short lived but poignant. She and Brady have both had hardship in their lives but neither lets it control who they are as people. As in many good stories that involve children Kayla, Brady's daughter, often steals the show from the adults. This is a sweet book for lovers of roses and all those who enjoy a book that leaves us feeling hopeful and good after the last page is turned. Ms. Donovan gives us a great example of walking a journey of faith that goes deeper than just going to church or praying.
