| The rodeo is over for a week or two and Dean Haverty is packing up his trailer and getting ready to hit the road. A young man comes over and asks for a ride. Will Benton is a young Bronco rider. He will need a ride to the next town where he will get a job to earn his entrance fee for the next competition. Dean agrees to give Will a lift. This is the beginning of a friendship that quickly leads to passion and romance. Things do not always go smoothly for the two and there are people that oppose them being together but through it all their love remains constant.
B.A Tortuga has created an innovative romance about two cowboys on the rodeo circuit. Their relationship is passionate and loving. It is easy to see these two characters make each other happy. The story is filled with steamy graphic sex that is present almost on every page. But there are enough other scenes in the story to see how the two fall in love and belong together. Easily visualized through the wonderfully descriptive writing of the author, the reader gets to see life on the road as the two travel from place to place for the rodeo. When events beyond the characters’ control separates Dean and Will, the reader will experience the desperation and loneliness that is felt by the characters. The only thing I would have personally liked to know more about their lives as they competed. How did the other competitors treat them? We do see when things do not go well and they lose their tempers. Most of the time is written about their time in between competitions which leaves me to believe they were probably too tired for anything else during that time. Still in all it was a good story where a long lasting and powerful love develops from a mutual attraction. Light on plot heavy on romance many will find themselves enjoying this story and I recommend it to you all.
