Will Burns is lead guitarist for the rock band Tourist. He is pleased when Laura becomes their sound manager and seeks to get to know her better. There is something very secretive about her that he would like to learn. He wants to get closer to her in more ways than one. Can he unlock her troubled past and make her future a much brighter one with him? >[? Laura’s Secret surrounds a young girl that after many years still fears her life threatened, not by just anyone but a menacing aunt who abused her as a child. The story is very inspiring as it records Laura and the times she endures to stay strong in every situation. It was so heart moving the way Will saw the sadness in her eyes and wanted to help her overcome her pain and sorrow. Yet she kept pushing him away because of the damage the abuse did to her. Ms. Greenland has penned an excellent story surrounding the effects of abuse and creates a character that strives to be strong throughout her life. She instills much patience in Will making him a most lovable character and nothing like any musician that many would imagine he’d turn out to be. This story is so unique, so genuine, that the reader cannot but feel the intensity of Laura and the love that Will carries for her in his heart. Ms. Greenland has composed a masterpiece that truly leaves a lasting impression.
