Cheri Henderson knows her life is about as good as it's going to get. Working in a saloon to provide for her son and living in the McGregor's cabin. She knows since she's had a child out of wedlock no man will want to marry her. When Ryder walks into her life, Cheri knows he will bring nothing but trouble to her. Even though the man infuriates Cheri, she can't help but drawn to him and slowly falls in love with him. I loved it! I think the story is well written and Mrs. Rasey brought all the characters to life. This is a simply love story that doesn't need an over abundance of sex to keep the reader interested. A true western romance that explores societies views and doesn't show a woman as being weak and totally dependent on a man. If I could give this book more than five hearts I would.
