| Jack Grayson and Kira Allen have been friends for years, ever since
Jack came to live with Kira's family in fact. They are the very best
of friends and their lives are entwined so much that Kira can't
imagine not having Jack in her life. However, she is also anxious to
fall in love and get married. With Jack in the picture, that just
doesn't seem possible because he is always finding things wrong with
her boyfriends. Her current boyfriend, Arlo, is only the latest in a
string of men that Jack doesn't think are good enough for Kira. A
shared kiss changes things between them faster than the blink of an
eye. Suddenly, Kira is noticing Jack's masculine physique and handsome
appearance. Jack also can't keep his mind off the tempting Kira, a
woman he's grown up with, but who is suddenly starring in all his
fantasies.
Jack can't get his kiss with Kira out of his mind. As pilots though, they have to work together to keep their minds on their job else risking the loss of hundreds of lives. Jack and Kira are both excellent pilots and they are about to take off on their first flight together as copilots. As much as she tries, Kira can't keep her mind, or her hands, off Jack. But suddenly the perfect plan pops into her head. They'll be layover buddies! During their flight layovers, they can both make love to each other to their heart's content, and when they are back home, they'll just be friends. Sounds like the perfect solution to Kira, but Jack has his doubts. Once he has Kira in his arms, will he ever want to let her go? Layover is the endearing story from new talent Ann Wesley Hardin. I always come into a story from a new author with a bit of apprehension. Will I like the characters? Will the point of view and motivations work for me? Well readers, I'm pleased to answer a resounding yes to all those questions. Ms. Wesley Hardin combines a strong mix of humor, emotional memories, and enticing sexual encounters to solidify Jack and Kira's evolving relationship. They have a truly great friendship and that is easily seen from the first page. The strength of this novel is how easily Jack and Kira manage to move from friend to lover. There is the funky awkward stage, but that is only to be expected. Kira's layover deal provides the perfect catalyst to move their relationship forward, while also creating a hilarious situation in which the sparks fly. Ms. Wesley Hardin has a winner with Layover! I'll be on the lookout for more stories from her.
