| Mimi St. John is an accountant in her daily existence. At home she loves to give control over to her lover, Rick Milston. The games they play have made them closer than either ever thought possible. When Rick leaves for a month with only a message on her machine, she's devastated. Friend Armand convinces her to go on with their plans for her to participate in his fashion show to occupy her mind.
Tilly Greene does erotic with a some BDSM and voyeurism thrown in for this couple's story. I would have been a lot happier with this story if Mimi would have suddenly become dominant and let Rick know in no uncertain terms that a month is way too long for no phone calls. No excuses, no welcome without question and falling into the arms of such a cad. I was so upset with the character of Rick that it overshadowed my enjoyment of the book. It started out erotic, loving, a good relationship. It deteriorated for me to a ‘me Tarzan, you Jane’ kind of abuse of the privilege of having a loving woman. What will he do as an encore? If their relationship lasts or if Mimi gets an ounce of self respect it would be better but it doesn't do that. The eroticism with bondage is well written. Mimi's sense of loss, devastation at his walking out on her is human and well done. For some the finale will be great. Sorry Ms. Green, the finale for me just made me grit my teeth and feel sorry for Mimi as you fed the stereotype of a submissive being much too willing to submit to a rude, obnoxious male.
