| Everybody thought that Grampa Cabot was not “all there” mentally and his constant stories about the fairies that lived on his property did not help that assumption. The only one who ever did listen to him was his grandson Heath Cabot-Pierce; of course, even he did not really believe Grandpa’s stories. Upon the death of his grandfather, Heath inherited Grampa Cabot's land including the enchanted “fairy” pond. Heath, as skeptical as any normal 21 year old would be, decided to seek out the pond that had captured his grandfather’s fancy. What he did not expect was to be taken into a world filled with fairy sprites, talking ducks, and a house where a Fairy woman lives. Elena captures his heart and he captures hers. Of course, even a love made in Fairyland has its ups and downs. Elena’s father is prepared to destroy Heath just because of something his grandfather had done a long time ago.
What did Grampa Cabot do all those years ago? Can Heath pass all the tests? Will Elena’s father recover from his grudge against Heath’s family? Ms. Jewell weaves a fantastic story of fairies. Heath is strong and determined and will do anything for Elena. Elena lives with the knowledge of her mother’s ancestors and knows the power of the snake. Elena’s father has lived his life in anger, and has never known the true legacy of the snake. Heath and Elena’s love is strong and explosive. This was a fun, very enjoyable and heartfelt trip to a land of grand mystical beings and of course, fairies.
