| After her plane went down over the wilds of Africa, Julia Haverstock has lost her sister and her brother-in-law in the crash, she suffers from a severely broken arm, and is now stranded with others who do not speak English. Think it couldn't get any worse? Wrong. Soon after life gets even poorer - several big cats - leopards - were quickly killing off any survivors. Julia runs for her life and is rescued by a jungle villager, but even then, her turmoil isn't over. One large white leopard that had pursued her was back and the village itself was now in chaos. She takes off running again yet this time the white cat, called Snow, catches up to her… and then the world goes black.
She wakes up in another village unharmed and cannot remember exactly how she survived the cat-attack. She is taken to the only person that speaks English, an Italian scientist named Sal. Julia just wants to get back to the crash site to bury her sister and brother-in-law and return home. Sal and his nephew Paulo have secrets that they cannot reveal to anyone and Sal's experiments could be life or death for them. And now they need Julia, so she cannot be allowed to leave. Sal attempts to make her stay by cashing in on their instant attraction and starts a seduction, when that does not work he has to let her know that her life is in his hands, and in the paws of Snow. Will Sal's experiments work? Will he be able to save himself? Can Julia accept his love when she knows the truth about his life? Ms. Blazer wrote an extremely hot and sexy book. Julia is strong and very much her own person, and Sal is a loving, caring person caught in a tough situation that he has no control over. I wish that Sal had been more forthcoming and less controlling, but overall, it was a very good book. Highly recommended.
