| Letitia is a lion shifter with FIV, the feline version of AIDS. Suddenly the disease has returned with a vengeance after being in remission for months. She has had feelings for Gavin the town doctor for a long time, but didn’t dare act on those feelings because of the FIV. But she is crushed when Gavin finds a mate in Charlie, the town’s new male cop. Gavin loves Charlie and can’t imagine things being any better between them, but he can’t forget Leticia. Circumstances change and bring the three together. If only there wasn’t a disease threatening Leticia’s life.
I have loved this series from day one and this book does not disappoint. From heart wrenching moments to heart stopping heat, this story fully involves the reader’s emotions. This town is full of interesting characters that jump right off the pages. Most people would see feline shifters as a more feminine type of character, but these feline men are completely male. No matter their sexual orientation, the men in this story are hot and oh so masculine. And of course, with such strong men, there are bound to be women strong enough to handle their men. And yet, Charlie, Gavin and Leticia all have their own softer sides too. With such amazing characters comes a lot of sexual heat also. The tension between Gavin and Leticia has been building for months now. When Charlie enters the picture the sparks really start to fly. The sexual heat is off the charts, smoking hot. It gets even hotter when Leticia joins in on their sensual escapades. Despite all of the amazing hot sex, there are still tender moments that will have the reader near tears. This is one emotional and yet highly sexual story full of fascinating characters in a small New Zealand town. If you enjoy sexy shifters you definitely need to check out this book.
