| Tori Morgan is a girl without family and her chance of having a baby is slipping away. Nick Santangelo is a man with too much family it seems at times. These two people come from two totally different backgrounds at first find themselves to be complete opposites. But once they spend more time in each other’s company, they find that their differences don’t matter so much. That is until their family beliefs come between them and cause a rift that may not be fixable. Can Tori work her magic on Nick? Or will his stubbornness be the end of them?
At first I thought this is a cute little story, but I could sit it down when needed. While I enjoyed the cute and quirky story, my attention just was not fully engaged until a few chapters in. But once I was fully engaged with the story, I found myself enraptured. At first Tori seems a bit flaky and Nick a bit stunted, but pretty soon they start to open up to the reader and they almost jump off the pages. The support characters are unique and add a special touch to this story. Nick’s grandma is a kleptomaniac and her crazy antics will have you laughing until you cry. Nick’s teenage daughter keeps him and Tori on their toes and Tori’s best friends are the best friends a girl could ask for. Once I was hooked on the story, I couldn’t put it down. I had to finish the story and find out what happened between Tori and Nick and their conflicting pursuits. And even when I was done reading the story, the sweetness and the characters themselves stayed with me. This book is one of those books that will not only leave you with a smile on your face, but one that you will think fondly of for years to come.
