Bailee Boyd is a secretary, romance novel junkie and inspiring fantasy artist. Her best friend Stacy supports her in everything she chooses to try. One evening Bailee talked Stacey into posing in the park for a fantasy painting. On her way from the park she witnessed a light in the sky and heard an explosion. It happened just as her strange e-mails had said it would. Something bizarre is going on and she decides to talk to the fire marshal. Alec Somner is the fire investigator. He has been tracking an arsonist that has targeted certain people. He does not know whether Bailee's e-mails are for real or not and decides to watch and see what develops. Before the day is through Bailee is personally threatened and it is Alec that will have to protect her. As a Guardian Protector he takes his job seriously. Bailee is a sexy blonde and sexually aggressive but this has nothing to do with his decision to protect her. If anything it complicates matters for him.

Light My Fire the title could come from the fact there is an arsonist causing problems. But then again, it could come from the burning desire that Alec feels when he meets Bailee. This is a highly passionate story filled with erotic heat. The two main characters seem not to be able to get enough of each other. The sex is explicit and creative, described in such a way to make it easily visualized. The erotic scenes are stimulating and will leave the reader a little breathless. The characters are described physically and their personalities are fully developed. Bailee is a creative person that takes things as they come. She is open-minded and sees the truth as it happens. She easily accepts the submissive role in a relationship. Alec is strong and protective, sometimes to the point of being overbearing. He is loyal to his clan and to his job. He is highly passionate and insists on being the dominant person in a relationship. The dialogue is logical and communicates the feelings and attitudes of the characters. The main theme of the story seems to be protecting Bailee and this is accomplished in an amazing and creative manner. Tawny Taylor has written a highly imaginative and innovative story that will thrill the reader.
