| Trauma nurse Lucas has had a bad couple of years. He'd given everything to a relationship with a man who did not feel the same way. Looking for a new start, he moves to Flint Michigan where he meets a paramedic named Matt. The only problem is that Matt is straight. The last thing Lucas needs is to be attracted to a straight man. Lucas and Matt get close after a night of drinking. When a incident at the hospital makes both men take a closer look at their feelings, will Lucas find true love? Or will he be left alone again?
I have just recently become acquainted with this author and I am finding that I really enjoy her writing and she is fast becoming one of my favorite authors. This is the third book in the series and it doesn't disappoint. This story stands alone but does include the characters from the previous books. The writing is consistent in all the books and this story is as good as the previous two. The story moves smoothly and quickly and still keeps some of the humor and romance of the other stories. This story I will say I enjoyed the most because Matt has been my favorite character throughout the series. He is witty and charming and a little bit conceited. This story gives us more insight to Matt and the self-effacing nurse Lucas is the perfect foil for him with his smart-alecky remarks and cute looks. He doesn't allow Matt to take himself too seriously. There is some hot m/m action in the book, it is well written and fits in perfectly with the characters personalities. I think if you are not already a fan of the author or this series you will be after reading this book.
