| Liking it Ruff is an excellent scifi adventure story set in the future. The heroine Naz and the hero Tannick Ruff are wonderful characters. The pair are futuristic bounty hunters working undercover as sex workers in a pleasure palace with the rest of their team, trying to save a young kidnapped girl before she can be ruined. Naz finds it difficult to keep her cool as the were she has always wanted gives her pleasures she thinks she cannot acknowledge. The duo must focus on the mission when all they really want is to focus on each other.
Ms. Carter's story is very engaging. I would not have minded a little morein-depth character development, though. Certain parts of the story I felt I was just thrown into with no background information. It's a short story, a few more pages would not have hurt. That, however, is my only criticism. In every other regard, I loved the story. She keeps the action rolling, melding in the steamy eroticism with believable ease. The characters felt credible, their actions smooth, their reactions plausible. I really hope she has more in this genre coming and that I get a chance to read them.
