| Ellie runs into Josh in the dark and he kisses her. No names are exchanged but Ellie knows it was him when she is introduced. There is a chemistry between them that they both recognize and feel. The company is having trouble and people are being let go. Ellie is high on the list for that since she is an event planner. She has to fight hard to keep her job and she uses the kiss they had as a sexual harassment threat. They are both trying to deny their feelings for one another but as they spend more time together it gets harder and harder.
Ellie and Josh are well developed characters. They are very real and behave very realistically. All of the characters were great. None of them felt flat and all felt real. The characters definitely made the story great. The plot was great too. It was realistic and fun. This story could have been taken from real life with no problem. It was very smooth and I did not want to put it down once I started it. I loved the dialogue. Ellie and Josh do not get along at first, especially in the office and they continue to banter back and forth throughout the story. The other characters also join in on the banter too. This story had plenty of funny spots. It definitely kept my attention and made me laugh. There was very little sex. The characters feel the sexual tension the entire time but they can't give in to it at first. When they do they both have very deep feelings for the other. It added to the story because of where the characters were at. I would love to read more of these characters or other characters from the story. This story was well written and I loved it.
