Kevin intends to find his brother with or without Samantha’s help. Samantha hopes Kevin is right because the chemistry between her and Kevin is very unusual but feels just right.
This is a wickedly scary plot! Imagine a drug that can be given to anyone that allows someone else to control them completely and the victim has no memory of what occurs while they are drugged. Criminals would just drug people to get what they want and law enforcement would go after the victim instead of the real criminal. This idea sends shivers down my spine! This story whisks you right into the middle of this intricate plot, pulling you right along with the main characters as they dodge murder attempts and betrayals trying to beat the criminals, who will stop at nothing, and solve the mystery without being killed. The main characters of Samantha and Kevin are wonderful. Samantha is a tough, smart, independent woman with a plan for her life and a career goal just in her grasp and she will solve this crime and let nothing get in the way of what she wants. Kevin is compassionate doctor willing to step across the line if it means treatments for his patients. But what kind of relationship can develop between a by-the-book DEA agent and a Doctor walking a thin line in the grey area? Their chemistry is unquestionably strong but there are so many factors stacked against them. How could they possibly survive if Samantha has to arrest Peter and put him in jail – Kevin would never be able to forgive that? And what if Samantha discovers the things Kevin is willing to do to get treatments for his patience, especially if he breaks the law, can she date a criminal? I loved this book! If you want suspense, diabolical criminal plots, people who are truly heroes, and romance all in a quick moving story, you will enjoy Liquid Hypnosis!
