| Hillary and Greg Dunne have reached a point in their marriage that neither of them expected. Unable to carry a baby to term they've turned to work to carry them through. Once adventuresome and always ready for love play, their sex life has suffered with other commitments taking away the time and energy to just be happy with one another.
Jacki King seems to write for many married couples in this well known story of a relationship suffering through the burden of time and reality. Isn't there always that person like Spencer Thomas just waiting in the wings for an opportunity to pick up the pieces? Hillary has to make some tough choices when the handsome man with a great personality makes his feelings known. I can just hear a lot of readers saying something like "isn't that just like a man?" when Greg seems oblivious to the challenges facing them. But he also has some legitimate arguments in his defense. This is a great story about the realities that many marriages face at some point. Hillary and Greg may have a unique solution to the problem, but that's part of what makes it such a wonderful read.
