| Mary Worthington was a military widow with no idea how her husband, Luke, had died. Even confronting the officer who had told her about his death in front of an audience didn't help. She wasn't ready to go on with her life until she understood and believed her old life was over. Brock Taylor knew who Mary was before her sister introduced them. He knew her because he'd known Luke and listened to all his stories about his beautiful wife. And now that Luke was gone, Brock wanted a place in her life. Everything would have turned out well, except the morning of their wedding, her husband shows up alive and well.
Mary Had a Little Problem is an understatement. A husband and a husband-to-be. Interesting, but not as good as it could have been. In my opinion, the story would have been better as a straight romance with a ménage twist. The Dom/sub relationship just didn't work for me. Mary goes from wanting Brock to leave her alone and to leave her house to being his sub with no build up or warning that that's what she was looking for. It just didn't come across well. Even for a short story, you never really got to know or care much about the characters. This one's a pass in my book.
