| Princess London can’t believe her father, King Blaze, has formally announced that she is to marry General Zahn. Although, London finds Zahn exceedingly handsome, she can’t seem to surmount his overpowering personality nor does she desire him in a sexual manner. London longs for a less forceful man who would love her unconditionally like how her father loves her mother and not want to marry her because of who she is - the princess. So, after London overhears her parents talking about a twin sister that she never knew existed, London realizes that she has found the perfect way to break out of her arranged marriage to Zahn. She is going to Earth to find Paris, her long, lost sister of twenty years.
Matt Taylor believed his eyes were deceiving him as he was looking through his telescope. There had been no news releases of a comet traveling towards Earth; but, as he stares at the sky, he notices what seems to be a comet headed directly towards him. Panicky, Matt hurries away before it smashes into the land. Only after diving for a couple of miles Matt heard a loud collision. Curious to see what had crashed, Matt heads back to the crash site and is shocked to find an alien space craft with a beautiful Earthly-looking woman inside. She claims that she is here to find her lost sister and Matt eagerly offers his assistance. As, they set out on their quest; Matt can’t help but fall fast and deeply for the alluring London. However, Matt has learned the hard way from numerous past relationships that beautiful women like London did not want a geek, like him, as a lover. Can London find a way to convince Matt that she is the real deal and strongly desires him? I found London Falling by Eve Vaughn to be a very fascinating story that had me hooked from start to finish. London was a strong, independent woman. So, she sets out to an unknown place eager to find a part of herself that has been missing since childhood and to escape a loveless marriage. On the other hand, Matt was a scientist geek that allowed women to take advantage of his kindness. London and Matt’s relationship is somewhat complex; yet, very basic in nature. Matt was a very caution man, while London was very carefree and knew how to go after what she wanted, when she wanted it. This extremely opposite attraction leads to loads of very spicy, passionate sexual encounters that will rock a reader’s world. I eagerly and somewhat impatiently wait for Paris’s story. Note: London Fallings is the second installment of Ms. Vaughn’s Gemini Rising series. Although, this novel is a stand alone, I would suggest reading The Reluctant Combine for the enjoyment of London’s parents love story and to discover how London and her mother were separated from Paris.
