On Gaia people received their last name based on their place in the tribe. If the chief's name is John then his full name is John Chief. If the name of the educator of the tribe is Sarah then her full name is Sarah Scholar. As a child Lisa was brave and a protector to the other children. Everyone knew when it came time she would be named Lisa Huntress. When Lisa was eleven a ship came to Gaia. The pirates that came on that ship attacked the tribe and killed everyone in sight. Lisa tried to fight them off but they decided to take her hostage. What followed was a nightmare of rape and violence. When a bounty hunter rescues her, she decides her course in life. She would become Lisa Huntress, bounty hunter, hunting those that hurt the innocent. This is the story of a woman that has experienced her share of nightmares and tries to prevent others suffering. When you see her you imagine a woman that is powerfully built, covered in her armor she appears invincible. No one takes the time to see the vulnerability and loneliness that her life has become until she meets someone special. His name is Kevin.

Lone Huntress Anthology is a collection of memories based on the life of Lisa Huntress. This is a thought provoking story of a woman that experiences severe trauma and survives to become a stronger person. This is a fascinating character from her physical description to her personality. The author AP Miller does a skillful job on showing how experience affects the character and molds the personality of the character. The dialogue in the story is logical and is easily followed. There are several romance scenes in the story that are graphic in their description. The reader sees how earlier experiences effect the character's future relationships. She will experience love and loss. She shows her vulnerability when it comes to self-esteem. Her appearance is different than the accepted concept of beauty; this story deals with this issue. The setting for this story is the future. It shows the loneliness of space and how it affects the character. Also the setting is further demonstrated by the technology that is described in this story. The emotional aspect of the story is confusing at times. Although she is dealing with her low self-esteem and the violence of her childhood, she does not seem as adversely affected as I would have expected. This may come from the strength of the character involved. I would have liked to have seen her a little more reluctant in her relationships and feel this aspect could have been developed further. Overall this is a good story that deals mainly with the psyche of the huntress and how she came to be the person she is.
