After being dumped by not one but two fiancés, Cassandra Adams is feeling down on love. She has always hoped to fall in love and marry Mr. Right, starting a family and living happily ever after. Unfortunately, it does not seem to be happening so Cass decides to take fate into her own hands and starts looking at the singles ads. Not only does Cass want to fall in love, but she wants to thwart her relative, Riley, who is after her inheritance. Will she find love?

After seeing three friends hurt by a letter writing woman supposedly in love with them, Alaskan Jason Alexander intends to stop a con artist, Miss Lonely Hearts, from hurting anymore men. When Cass answers his ad, he is sure he has his con woman. Only, it turns out Cass is everything wonderful that he did not expect or believe to be real. But will Jason's deception cause him to lose the woman he never expected to adore?

Here is an author who knows how to bring on the sweet romance, laughter, and the wonders of love! Charlene Teglia always leaves me satisfied and Miss Lonely Hearts was no different. Jason and Cass are two characters going about love the wrong way. Jason is sexy, he cares about his friends' well being, and he wants to bring a woman to justice. Despite being hurt by love one too many times, Cass is not bitter. She is resilient and has the strength to recognize that not all men are jerks. I really liked her open mind, her love for her pet, how she rolled with the punches, and how she let love sweep her away even when she was not expecting it. The only part of this story I was dissatisfied with was Cass's dislike of Riley, a character and storyline that remained mysterious and not well explained in this story. This story would have been even more satisfying if that plot line had either been expanded or left out entirely. This qualm aside, Miss Lonely Hearts explores love through laughter, the heart, some very quirky characters including a reformed stripper, and through the determination it takes to find that special someone. Charlene Teglia captures the heart in this delightful tale!
