Teague takes Ian in when he is kicked out by his last Dom. Teague is drawn to Ian and wants to help him out. Teague sets down ground rules for Ian while he stays in the house. Ian agrees to them and tells Teague a bit of his past. Ian wants Teague to be his master but he also wants to change his ways and not be a user anymore. They decide to put off on this until Ian knows that he won't leave. Ian takes care of the house in return for room and board. He is also job hunting constantly as part of the deal.

Teague and Ian were somewhat hard to get a hold of. Ian kept changing his mind so it was hard to see who he really was. He seemed to be two different people between the diary entries and what he showed every day. It was easier to see the true Ian as the story continued but he almost seemed a bit bipolar at times. Teague was easier because his desires didn't seem to change throughout the story. He was more of a constant and what Ian needed. The characters seemed realistic but it was harder to be drawn into them because of the jumps in time and the thoughts and emotions shared. The story carries a long period of time and so it jumps in time some. I didn't enjoy this part and wish that I had gotten more of their story. It was a little hard to continue with the new developments that happened during the time that had been skipped over. The sex is explicit and very descriptive. They don't overly show emotion during the scenes that are done. There is definitely affection there but it is not shown overtly. Ian wants to please and that comes through. The story was good and I did enjoy it.
