Krissa and her husband, Derrick, have been trying to conceive for years with no success. The day they discover the cause of their problem, also brings a possible solution in Derrick's best friend, Nate. Nate seeks a place to recover and begins again after some devastating events in his life. Nate could be the solution to Krissa and Derrick's conception problems and that gives Nate a greater purpose during his recovery. Will their plans be a solution to an unfortunate problem? Or a beautiful beginning?

The premise of this book was quite intriguing but the story did not follow through. I enjoyed the set up as it was exactly what I imagine of the story. The plot was very interesting as it had a captivating basis for Nate, Derrick and Krissa's sexual foray into ménage interactions. However, as the story progressed, the characters' sexual exploits took a different turn. I felt the story moved from a consensual sexual activity between the three characters into an adulterous situation between two of the characters. Further, I must say none of the characters were very engaging despite their various interactions. I found it difficult to like or connect with any of the characters and particularly Krissa. She demonstrated a very passive-aggressive personality in her relationship with Nate and especially in her relationship with Derrick. I disliked the male characters as the author's juxtaposition of their personalities made the story very predictable. While I enjoy the first part of the story, getting to know the characters was really slow paced and it took quite a bit of time for the story to actually start moving. The sexual interaction between the characters was very hot but my dislike of the characters killed the erotic potential for me. Overall, I think the story would have been better with stronger characters despite the predictable plot.
