Mark is considered a hero. He served two tours in Vietnam that took the life of his friend and lover. Since then, he hasn't let anyone get close to him. Working a remodeling job he hires on Josh. Josh is a survivor of the Beirut bombing, but instead of closing himself off, he lives life to the fullest. Can Mark let go of the past and find a life with Josh?

This was a heart wrenching story about a man who cannot let go of his past and move on with his life. The plot is a good one and moves at a moderate rate. The author fits so many emotions and thoughts into the story that sometimes I did not know what to feel. The characters had so much depth that you felt that you were right there with them going through their pain. The Mark and Josh are well suited and Josh's understanding and perseverance are just what Mark needs to help him see that the life he is living is not a life at all. There are some m/m situations but not very detailed, there is some language that people might find offensive, but it all goes with the characters and the story. This is a great tale for people who like strong emotional characters.
