| James is on a safari in Africa with his wife Emma and stepdaughter Sammie. He has made several trips there and wants to share his love of this country with his family. The trip is a belated anniversary present James and Emma have given to each other. During the trip Emma and Sammie are kidnapped by terrorists. James gets some help searching for them from Andrew and Vincent, both bushmen, warriors, expert trackers. Andrew is a former combat veteran and ranger at Chikwenya. Vincent is a Masai warrior and James' friend and guide on several trips to Africa. The pursuit takes them throughout Africa in an adventure that combines anticipation, danger, fear, risk of disease in the water and the jungle, evading political turmoil at various borders, watching for border patrols, river patrols, army patrols and terrorists throughout their journey, wild animals, pain, hunger and violence.
