David is getting frustrated with his search for a woman named Genoa. For six months he's searched the galaxies for her, and each time he got close she's managed to escape him. This time, he knows he's near, when for some reason his empathic abilities start to kick in with a vengeance. He's been able to control them for many years, so it comes as a great surprise when they kick into high gear in a bar. Out of the blue, he realizes it's fear he feels at first, and he's finally found Genoa, surrounded by some aliens called Gorgons that mean business.

Genoa has some information that could create havoc for her and the people around her, and she's not telling anyone but her boss the news. She was on her way to send the transmission, when she was accosted by a group of Gorgons that thought she owed them something. So what if she'd led the leader to believe that she wouldn't mind having some fun with him in bed? When a gorgeous man comes along and saves her, she is immediately suspicious. Who is this guy? And why is she so attracted to him?

I was hooked into Federation CTD: Lost in Emotion from the beginning, and couldn't put it down until I was done. Although it's part of a series, it isn't necessary to read the first one in order to understand what was happening. David is a great hero, strong and sexy, with an irresistible pull towards Genoa that he's not sure he wants. Genoa has a lot going for her, she's smart, sexy, and able to take care of herself with a little bit of vulnerability thrown in. The two have some hot and passionate sex, and they have a connection to each other that is hard to miss. I had a good time reading this book and I would recommend it to anyone that likes a little bit of science fiction and the paranormal thrown into their romances.
