A Lost Touch of Paradise by Amy Tolnitch is a fantastic paranormal adventure about a lonely woman who is feared due to ignorance and superstition and the love and acceptance she finds. Taught by action to fear others, Isobal has good reasons to live her life separate from all others. This is a character with amazing magical abilities but she is unable to find a way to be part of the world. She is afraid and terribly lonely. Lugh MacKeir is physically strong and respected by his people but he finds himself in a battle where physical strength is not what is needed. He is wary of Isobal due to her mysterious ways and magic but he finds himself physically attracted to her beauty. As he spends time with her he starts to see beyond her magic to the woman and love begins to grow. The setting of this mysterious island created by Amy Tolnitch is amazing in its description. A world of sun and warmth, flowers grow in abundance and the people have all their needs met. Yet Isobal can with a thought cause it to snow. It is a place where dolphins frolic with humans and all sounds so perfect, but as the reader reads anywhere there are humans there are sins and not all is as perfect as it seems. A Lost touch of Paradise is a beautifully romantic story filled with magic and enchantment. It teaches a wonderful story about the importance of seeing the truth and learning acceptance. By opening their minds and opening their hearts all things are possible. A marvelous story, A Touch of Paradise is highly recommended to all the readers.
