Once again Rebecca Royce charms her readers. I have enjoyed her werewolf series and now this new series as well. This is an author who does not disappoint.

I enjoyed watching the story of the Outsiders enfold. As we learn about them and their prophecy, the reader becomes immersed in the world that this author has built. With characters like Kal, a man who loves his family and is devoted to protecting them, and Isabelle, the woman who opens his heart, this is a wonderful read.

I enjoyed watching Kal open up and lose his heart to Isabelle. She is a strong woman who has had a hard life but always pulls herself back up. As Kal and Isabelle begin to bond, she must also learn to use her powers. The strong family bond that Kal and the others have and begin to share with Isabelle is a nice read. Making this book not only a love story but also a story full of depth and emotions. Add in the prophecy and the fight that they are waging against evil and you have a great story filled with love, magic and just the right amount of action. This is a great start to a new series that I am eagerly awaiting the next instalment to.
