| Caden Foster and Royce Spaulding haven't seen each other for ten years.. Royce has become an openly gay author with five books to his credit. His life is in New York but he has to return to his hometown to settle his uncle's affairs. What will happen if he runs into Caden, the man who betrayed him?
Lisa Marie Davis does a great job building the characters for this book. It seems both Royce and Caden's father had given him ultimatums. Royce demands unconditional love. His father insists that Caden follow his father's dreams. It's easy to see how Caden chose a socially acceptable future rather than taking a chance on a gay relationship. The author shows well how wrong his choice was when we see the relationship Kelly, his fiancée, and his father have. It's an encouraging story, one that helps tell people to live their own dreams, not those of anyone else. Not everyone gets a second chance at love. Ms. Davis gives us a well crafted romance.
