Austin Lanier has inherited a watermelon farm from her grandmother. She thought she would drive down, clean out the house, sell the farm and return to her corporate job. But as soon as she gets there she discovers sexy cowboy neighbor Rye O'Donnell. Rye wants to buy the farm from her once he meets Austin, he'll only buy the farm if Austin comes with it. Can this city girl find love in the backwoods of Texas? And what of her dreams of getting the promotion at her work that she's been working towards for over a decade?

What an absolutely adorable story. While I didn't find myself hooked until about half way through the book I did enjoy the story. The first half of the book seemed to move a little slow plot wise, but did a great job of building the characters and the scenery. Despite the fact that the story started shortly after a funeral, the book itself was a lighthearted and bright read full of sensational characters and a thought provoking plot. Austin's internal struggles are portrayed very clearly to the reader. Her struggle to find balance between her mother's demands and her dreams is a very real scenario that can easily be found in today's world. Love Drunk Cowboy is a cute and yet very entertaining read that is sure to satisfy your cravings for a romantic modern day cowboy book. The love scenes are tender and passionate and show true emotion between Rye and Austin. The characters themselves are endearing and quirky. The supporting characters are downright hilarious. This book will have you laughing so hard you'll develop a stitch in your side and then the next minute you'll be tearing up at how romantic something is. I found myself with a big smile on my face at the end of this book and I think you will too.
