Love Fool was a wonderfully written, upbeat, quick-paced story about a couple who had never had good luck in the love department! Amanda Miller, aged 24, was the daughter of a rock star extraordinaire, Edmond Miller; she left Los Angeles for Austin, Texas, to manage a brand new band, Tastes Like Chicken. She had survived under the umbrella of her dad's success and wanted to prove she could be her own person and still succeed. She managed to get her three-person band, two brothers and one woman, to sing for a month of Thursdays in Joe Paloma's nightclub, the hottest music venue and music producer in Austin. He was known as the biggest playboy in Texas-since his ex-wife had dumped him for his former best friend-and Joe never would trust another woman; he would constantly love 'em and leave 'em!

When Mandy woke up in his bed the next morning, after a full night of tequila, she did not know who he was; she assumed that they had slept together but had no memory of any of it. Her band members were, Piper (the older) and Damon Darren and Torrance who had dated Piper in high school but now was infatuated with Damon, even though he was three years younger than she; they expected her to help build their career not put a damper on it by coming on to the bar owner.

Ms. Anna J. Evans has written a good plot with great, complicated characters. Both Mandy and Joe were instantly attracted to each other. Their characters were evolving throughout the book. The fact that they both were willing to be straight-up and willing to put themselves on the line to see if their relationship would work was unusual and made them much more attractive to me. The band members, as well as Mandy's dad and his friends were very important subordinates who kept the storyline fresh and more involved.

This is a good book which I believe anyone would love; the language is explicit and the sexual encounters frequent, but the story is very interesting.
