Love Hurts in this story we read of two people who are left behind after their spouses die. We read of their situations and how they deal with their despair before coming together and loving again. The dress and social expectations, such as a year of expected mourning help to create the setting. Both Galen and Madison are very likeable. They gave themselves fully to their marriages and loved their spouses. They both go through a depression dealing with the death of a loved one. There is chemistry between the two from the very beginning. Their time together is passionate and exciting, described in erotically graphic details that will thrill the readers. The intimacy is beautifully choreographed and easily pictured through the words of Christy Poff. The dialogue is well written and successfully conveys the thoughts and emotions of the characters. This is a wonderful story where good wins over evil. The good in this case being a vampyr named Galen. This is a highly enjoyable paranormal historical romance that will leave the reader smiling.
