| Palmer Thomas decides to take a much needed vacation from her job of being a trauma nurse. She is interested in finding tombstones and taking pictures in the cemeteries of those who have fought in the wars. What she never expected was to be accosted by a young ruffian and ordered from her car. After a huge explosion she collapses only to wake up in a different time and place, an era where she is surrounded by sporadic bullets and blasting cannons as Confederate troops bear down on the Southern army. Not to mention a handsome doctor who befriends her and irritates her to no end. Yet there is something about this man that draws her to him.
Major Jonathan Lowell lost his wife and son when she was giving childbirth. He has been a loner ever since and never yearned for another woman. He has enough to worry about with the on going war and not enough medical staff to assist with the wounded. But when he happens to find a wounded woman that acts almost foreign to him, she is like no woman that he has ever seen. They are at odds with each other the moment they meet but in time they grow closer. Can Palmer repair his wounded heart and help him find true love again? LOVE KNOWS NO TIME is an enchanting story of a woman’s journey into the past and a self discovery of events that will touch the heart. The characters of Palmer and Jonathan were very believable in all their actions trying to understand the other. I liked the way the author gave detail to the war and allowed Palmer to see the sacrifices that had to be made. The way the author tied in the roommate and those concerned of Palmer’s whereabouts during this time blended in well with the storyline too. This is a story that truly captivates and the dialogue really holds the story together. Lacey Blevins holds the attention of the reader until the last page. She blends in scenes from the past surrounding a bloody war with no hope of ever winning while two lost souls find a love that last throughout time. Ms. Blevins writes a remarkable story that leaves a warm feeling in your heart and a happy tear in your eye.
