Curly red hair, glasses, clothes that fit her 30 pounds ago…these are characteristics of Dr. Lucy Kaplin, a research biochemist at St. Catherine Cancer Hospital. Amy Winters, her assistant, had tried to get Lucy to rectify her dowdy looks and outlook. Then one day, Lucy’s boss told her there would be a new doctor joining their research, Dr. Dashall Braden. Lucy and Dash attended high school together and had some classes together at the University of Tennessee. Lately he had been at St. Jude’s working after losing his nine-year-old son to leukemia.

Lucy and Amy had been struggling for months, and had almost succeeded, in finding a cure for leukemia. There was also a new study nearing completion which would cure a certain type of cancer. When Dr. Braden joined them, he did not recognize Lucy but she was not surprised. Amy introduced her to a formula for a love potion. What a difference that made! It would only last 48 hours and then she had to take it again.

Ms. Erin Katz did a marvelous job telling this story. I absolutely loved the way she combined the elements of erotic love as well as research study and great bonding between the couple. The story is an easy read and, even though it discusses the pros and cons of a love potion, it is quite believable. The outcome of the potion is extremely sensual, but Lucy refuses to take the potion again! I recommend this book! You will love it!
