They have an unusual way of picking their mates, and it seems that this time the king will be there for the Choosing. When Serena is picked by Rhamus, she is surprised to learn that she is not only going to bear his children, but be his Queen as well.
Loves Captive is a good story, with plenty of action. I liked the interactions between Rhamus and Serena, they were meant for each other from the start. The story flowed along at a good pace, and was never slow. I thought that Rhamus seemed a little distant at times, but the author was able to turn that around and make me like him anyway. Serena was a strong character, and you never questioned her ability to take on her role as Queen. I enjoyed this fast paced story of love on another planet, and I would recommend it to anyone who likes this type of story.
