Charlene Leonard has written a creative adventure filled with action and passion. It is also filled with colorful characters that are fully developed and well written. Luke is an ex-sheriff turned blacksmith with a troubled past. He must learn forgiveness for himself as well as others. He is known for his caring ways and is definitely a good man. Anna is tough and will stand up for those she loves. They make a perfect pair. The chemistry between the two is electric and sparks fly between the two. Anna is a virgin but she is very curious and extremely bold. The sex is steamy and described in explicit and exciting details. The dialogue flows smoothly and successfully conveys the thoughts and emotions of the characters. The plot to rescue Anna from the kidnappers and give her the choice to return to her family is fulfilled with the kidnappers. Problems from Luke’s past are resolved. This is an exhilarating story that takes place in the old west that includes daring rescues and exciting shootouts. The setting comes alive through the descriptive writing of Charlene Leonard. This is a story that will definitely appeal many readers especially those that enjoy books set in this era and I recommend it to all readers that enjoy romance and passion.
